The author¶
Pascal Wichmann (Twitter) holds a German diploma (equivalent to a combined Bachelor’s and Master’s degree) in Business Engineering from Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, Germany, and a PhD in Engineering from Cambridge University, UK.
Pascal worked as a strategy consultant for OC&C Strategy Consultants and EY-Parthenon – most recently as part of the Advanced Analytics team. During his PhD, he co-founded the startup Versed AI which commercializes the idea of his PhD: using Machine Learning and NLP to automatically extract supply chain maps from large quantities of text. His current role is one of an academic mentor to the team.
Pascal is particularly interested in Machine Learning / AI and NLP and their applications in the creative domain, specifically generative models for vector graphics.
